‘ High Valley’
Snow capped Ben Lawes – pass open but isolated, two or three cars all afternoon. Sound of water falling over the rocks as it makes it’s way down into ‘the longest, loneliest, loveliest glen in Scotland’, Glen Lyon. No other sound – no birdsong or other wildlife – seems strange after seeing the abundance of wildlife elsewhere in this beautiful country. Bracken still brown and broken from the winter no new shoots yet.
